Common use of Emergency Closing of School Clause in Contracts

Emergency Closing of School. ‌ 9.1. Those Food Service Employees who are scheduled to report to work at 6:30 a.m. or earlier may not be able to hear the radio broadcast concerning the closing of school in case of emergency. If they report to work on such a day, they will be paid for three (3) hours’ time. 9.2. Those cafeteria employees who are scheduled to report to work after 6:30 a.m. will not be paid on days when school is closed because of emergency. 9.3. To the extent an emergency closing of school results in an e-learning day where food services are not required, employees may be required to participate in online training or other remote work as directed by the Superintendent or designee as a basis for pay. Training and remote work will be offered reasonably to all employees.‌
