Emergency Override. The Cable System shall comply with the FCC Emergency Alert System regulations.
Emergency Override. Except as inconsistent with FCC regulations, the system shall include an emergency alert capability which shall permit the Mayor or the Mayor’s designee to override the audio on all television channels in the case of public emergencies as determined by the Mayor.
Emergency Override. The Cable System shall incorporate audio override capabilities for use in the event of an emergency consistent with FCC and State regulations. The emergency override capability may be operated from a standard touch-tone telephone and/or a computer only by officials authorized by the Franchising Authority. Activation of this emergency override capability shall give authorized official(s) control of all Channels allowed by law for a limited period of time for the purpose of transmitting instructions to viewers. The Franchising Authority shall provide Franchisee with the name(s) of each individual authorized to activate the emergency override capability prior to granting such authorization. Authorization shall be limited to two (2) individuals.
Emergency Override. In the event of an emergency, as determined by the Mayor, the Mayor may order that Signals being distributed over the System shall be interrupted for the delivery of appropriate Signals necessitated by such emergency. The procedures for, and the equipment and facilities necessary to accomplish, such emergency override shall be determined as set forth in applicable law and in Exhibit 4 to Appendix A to this Agreement.
Emergency Override. Grantee shall comply with all applicable federal regulation regarding emergency alert systems, including equipment standards and procedures for alerting capacities. The County may identify authorized emergency officials for activating the emergency alert system. The County may also develop a local plan containing methods of emergency alert system message distribution, subject to federal review and approval as provided by federal rules.
Emergency Override. ▇. ▇▇ all times during the term of this Franchise Agreement, the Company shall provide and maintain an Emergency Alert System (EAS) consistent with applicable Federal law and regulation - including 47 C.F .R., Part 11 and the "State of Illinois Emergency Alert System State Plan" - as may be amended from time to time. The County agrees to indemnify and hold the Company harmless from any damages or penalties arising out of the negligence of the County, its employees or agents in using such system.
Emergency Override. Throughout the term of the franchise, the system will be equipped such that, in the event of an emergency, as determined by the Franchising Authority, audio and video signals being distributed over the system shall be subject to interruption for the delivery of appropriate signals necessitated by such emergency. The emergency override system will be operated in accordance with Supplement B and rules and regulations issued by the Franchising Authority as permitted by applicable law.
Emergency Override. Throughout the term of the Franchise, the System shall be installed and operated with an emergency alert system in compliance with the rules of the Federal Communications Commission, provided, however, that, notwithstanding any such FCC regulations, the System shall be configured such that, in the event of a local emergency, as reasonably determined by the Franchising Authority, the Franchising Authority shall be able to interrupt, to the extent not prohibited by FCC regulations, audio and video Signals distributed over the System for the delivery of appropriate Signals necessitated by such emergency. Interruption for the purpose of local emergency override of the cable signal shall constitute an emergency notification tone and a character generated "crawl" across the screen detailing the emergency. The emergency override system will be operated in accordance with rules and regulations issued by the Franchising Authority as permitted by applicable law.
Emergency Override. Franchisee shall provide an emergency override capability to permit Franchising Authority to interrupt and cablecast a message on all channels simultaneously in the event of disaster or public emergency.
Emergency Override. The Cable System shall incorporate emergency override capabilities, for use in the event of an emergency or vital public information situation, which can be operated from a standard touch-tone telephone by any authorized agent of the City. Activation of this emergency override capability will be consistent with FCC rules. The government access channel will be available for transmission of an alphanumeric Signal from an alphanumeric character generator and modulator under the control of the City or for live video and audio transmission at the City's option.
