Entering the Bargaining Unit. The University will notify the Union of all new employees entering the bargaining unit. The University will inform all employees entering such bargaining unit of the Union’s exclusive representation. At the time of hire into a position with the bargaining unit, the University will provide each newly-hired employee with a printed copy of this Agreement and a payroll-deduction form. The University will also inform the employee of his/her obligations under the union security provisions of this agreement.
Entering the Bargaining Unit. When an individual enters the bargaining unit, TVA sets the pay rate not to exceed the market rate for the position. However, TVA may set the pay rate above the market rate (not to exceed 120 percent of the market rate) for 25 percent of the projected EA new hires for each fiscal year. If the hiring exemptions are exhausted, TVA may request additional waivers from the EA. However, when a manager or specialist enters the bargaining unit in connection with a reorganization or elimination of positions, TVA sets the pay rate not to exceed 110 percent of the market rate for the position. Employees entering the bargaining unit as a result of S-1:E-2, Management Work Dispute Resolution, receive no change in basic annual salary rate provided the rate does not exceed 120 percent of the market rate for the position. However, the employee’s basic annual salary rate may be decreased if necessary to bring the new rate to 120 percent of the market rate for the new position.
Entering the Bargaining Unit. The Employer will notify PSE of any new employees entering the bargaining unit. The Employer will inform all employees entering the bargaining unit of PSE’s exclusive representation. The Employer also agrees to provide each employee entering the unit with an informational packet provided by PSE which describes its representation programs and includes a membership application. PSE shall be allowed no less than 30 minutes to meet with new employees on matters concerning the rights of employees and the role of PSE as the exclusive bargaining representative.

(b) Reassignment to other employees of work normally performed by members of the bargaining unit shall not result in the termination, layoff or reduction in hours of any member of the bargaining unit. (c) When it is decided to not fill a position following an employee’s resignation, the Home will provide the rationale in writing for this decision to the Union. The Union may request a meeting to make representations on this matter.

  • RECOGNITION AND BARGAINING UNIT 2.1 The City hereby recognizes the Union as the exclusive collective bargaining representative, for the purposes stated in RCW 41.56, for the bargaining unit as defined by the Public Employment Relations Commission certification contained in Appendix A of this Agreement. 2.2 The parties agree to meet for disclosure, discussion and if requested negotiations (if necessary) prior to the assignment of any regular part time Material Controllers and/or Apprenticeship Coordinators.
