Exceptions to Daily Overtime. (a) When an employee is permitted by management to change from one shift to another at their own request, and a new shift starts within the same 24 hour period as their preceding shift, overtime provided under Articles 9.02 and 9.03 will not be paid. However, the starting time of the new shift will start a new twenty-four (24) hour period for the purpose of determining overtime. (b) Attendance at training scheduled outside of normal scheduled hours of work will be paid at the applicable overtime rate.
