Exclusions Applicable To Loss Other than Defense Costs Sample Clauses

The "Exclusions Applicable to Loss Other than Defense Costs" clause defines specific situations or types of losses that are not covered by an insurance policy, except for defense costs. In practice, this means that while the insurer may pay for legal defense expenses arising from a claim, it will not cover other financial losses or damages resulting from certain excluded events or circumstances, such as intentional misconduct or contractual liabilities. The core function of this clause is to limit the insurer's liability for non-defense losses, thereby clarifying the scope of coverage and helping both parties understand which risks remain uninsured.
