Fatigue Management. The Employer acknowledges that a common feature of an employee’s duties is significant travelling time, in conjunction with labour intensive work. As a result, fatigue is a potential hazard that needs to be carefully monitored and managed by the Employer to ensure that employees do not place themselves at an unacceptable level of risk. To this end, the Employer shall, wherever practicable, allow the Employee to choose to live away from home near the relevant work site, rather than drive back to their home or work depot. Such employee will paid the relevant allowances related to living away from home contained in this Agreement.
