Fatigue Mitigation Transportation Clause Samples

The Fatigue Mitigation Transportation clause requires that transportation arrangements be provided for workers who are too fatigued to safely drive themselves home after work. In practice, this may involve offering shuttle services, arranging for taxis, or reimbursing alternative transportation costs when an employee is deemed unfit to drive due to exhaustion. Fatigue Mitigation Transportation. House Staff are eligible to participate in the UC San Diego Health Fatigue Mitigation Transportation Policies/Programs. UCSDH GME has existing policy “GME-021 – Taxi Service For House Officers.” In the event a House Staff is too fatigued to drive home safely at the end of a shift, House Staff are eligible for transportation services under this policy and would be eligible for reimbursement of actual costs for round-trip transportation to their verifiable home address from their worksite. As an alternative to utilizing the Fatigue Mitigation Transportation Policy option, House Staff may also sleep in an available call room until able to drive safely.
