Fault Levels Sample Clauses

The Fault Levels clause defines and categorizes the degrees of responsibility or blame that may be assigned to a party in the event of a breach or failure under a contract. Typically, it distinguishes between different levels such as negligence, gross negligence, and willful misconduct, each carrying varying consequences or liabilities. For example, a contract might limit liability for ordinary negligence but impose stricter penalties for willful misconduct. This clause ensures clarity in assigning responsibility and helps allocate risk appropriately between the parties, reducing ambiguity in the event of disputes.
