Federation Membership. All Tenured, Probationary, Temporary, Associate, and Adjunct Professors are represented by the Federation. Membership in the Federation is voluntary. Members are allowed to vote on contract issues, hold elected positions in the Federation, and access union benefits at the local, state, and federal levels. Professors can join the Federation at any point during the year by application. The College will deduct membership dues during the payroll process and remit those funds to the Federation in a timely manner. Professors can withdraw membership during the month of June, or within 30 days of their return to contract in the academic year, by written notice to both the Federation and Human Resources.
Federation Membership. All employees covered by this Memorandum of Understanding who (a) are members of the Federation, or (b) all employees who are thereafter hired shall, as a condition of continued employment, maintain membership in the Federation or pay to the Federation a service fee in an amount not to exceed the then current Federation dues, in order to defray the cost incurred by the Federation in serving as the exclusive representative of employees in accord with the Employee Relations Act of Baltimore County. The provision of this section shall be contingent upon the showing by the Federation, annually, to the Administration that more than thirty percent (30%) of the employees covered by this Memorandum of Understanding are dues paying members of the Federation.
Federation Membership. Membership or non-membership in the Federation shall be the individual choice of an employee, and employees must affirmatively consent to join the Federation in order to become a member.

Federation Membership. Employees covered by the terms of this Agreement shall not be required to become members of the Federation.
Federation Membership. Membership in the Federation is separate, apart and distinct from the assumption by one of his equal obligation to the extent that he/she receives equal benefits. The Federation is required under this Agreement to represent all of the employees in the bargaining unit fairly and equally without regards to whether or not any employee is a member of the Federation. Accordingly, it is fair that each employee in the bargaining unit pays his/her own way and assume his/her fair share of the obligation along with the grant of equal benefit contained in this agreement. Any employee who is not a member of the Federation in good standing or who does not make application for membership with thirty (30) days from the date of commencement of duties, shall, as a condition of employment, pay as a Representative Benefit Fee, to the Federation, an equal amount to the dues of the Federation. The Federation agrees to assume the legal defense of any suit or action brought against the Board regarding this Article of the collective agreement.
