The 'Final Exam Week' clause defines the specific period during which final examinations are scheduled and administered within an academic term. Final Exam Week. A. Faculty are required to offer final examinations and/or final projects to all credit students during the scheduled final examination period. All final examinations and/or final projects must be graded by the Faculty, regardless of students’ grades going into the final. The final exam requirement and schedule does not apply to science laboratory courses, Limited Access programs, or reduced length terms. B. Faculty members are to be accessible and responsive to students to support their academic success and progression. As such, Faculty are expected to be available to students during final exam week. Faculty shall adjust their office hours during this week to ensure availability to students and support end of semester grading requirements as follows: i. Faculty are to post office hours for final exam week at their office location and in the College’s Learning Management System. ii. Faculty are to post a minimum of ten (10) office hours during final exam week for the Fall and Spring semesters. iii. Out-of-office email and phone responses are not to be posted until the contractual period is complete.

Final Exam Week. Final exam beverage and snack service shall be available between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. and shall begin the evening prior to the first day of exams and conclude the evening prior to the last day of exams, excluding evenings prior to non-exam days. From 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. the Contractor shall have an “Almost Midnight Breakfast” held in Memorial Hall which is a late night breakfast, unless mutually agreed upon to change the event. Each evening the Contractor will provide a snack-type service to students in the Memorial Hall Dining Room. Service will consist of snack-type items including, but not limited to, pizza, nacho bar and dessert bar, with one item featured each evening.

Fifty (50%) percent of the student support hours conducted during final exam week may be conducted at an alternative location according to Section 3.

Related to Final Exam Week

  • Contract Year A twelve (12) month period during the term of the Agreement commencing on the Effective Date and each anniversary thereof.

  • Final Completion Date Final Completion for the Work as defined in Article 6.1.3 of the General Conditions to the Continuing Contract for Construction Management shall be achieved by October 31, 2024.

  • Rest Interval After Overtime An employee required to work overtime adjoining his/her regularly scheduled shift shall be entitled to eight (8) clear hours between the end of the overtime work and the start of his/her next regular shift. If eight (8) clear hours are not provided, overtime rates shall apply to hours worked on the next regular shift.

  • Rest Period After Overtime (a) When overtime work is necessary, it will, wherever reasonably practicable, be so arranged that employees have at least 10 consecutive hours off duty between the work of successive days or shifts, including overtime. (b) An employee, other than a casual employee, who works so much overtime between the termination of their ordinary work on one day and the commencement of their ordinary work on the next day, that they have not had at least 10 consecutive hours off duty between those times, will be released after completion of such overtime, until they have had 10 consecutive hours off duty without loss of pay for ordinary working time occurring during such a absence. (c) If, on the instruction of the employer, an employee resumes or continues to work without having had 10 consecutive hours off duty, they will be paid at the rate of double time until released from duty for such period. The employee will then be entitled to be absent until they have had 10 consecutive hours off duty without loss of pay for rostered ordinary hours occurring during the absence.

  • RDO Schedule/ Working Day Calendar (a) The Employer recognises that hours accrued in accordance with clause 38 create a bank of hours to be drawn upon by the Employee, as a paid RDO. The Employer recognises that Employees are entitled to take off days accrued in accordance with this clause. (b) The agreed indicative RDO/Working Day Calendars for 2024 to 2029 are attached at Appendix D of this Agreement. (c) For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in the arrangement for an indicative RDO / Working Day Calendar is intended to impose a limit on the ability of the Employer to determine with its Employees when and where work can be performed to meet operational requirements or otherwise limit the Employer’s right to manage its business and improve productivity.
