FIRE SUPPRESSION. For the Fire Suppression Division, the Employer shall adhere to the twenty- seven (27) day, one hundred ninety two (192) hour, work schedule set forth in the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), except those on special assignment. The standard hours of work shall be 0730 to 0730 the following day. The forty-eight (48) hour work week shall reflect scheduling of work through a twenty-seven (27) day, one hundred ninety two (192) hour, schedule as follows: on duty twenty-four (24) hours, off duty twenty-four (24) hours; on duty twenty-four (24) hours, off duty twenty-four (24) hours; on duty twenty-four (24) hours, off duty ninety-six (96) hours, at which time the above cycle shall repeat. Each employee shall be scheduled off duty every seventh (7th) work day, to reflect the forty-eight (48) hour average workweek. The following depicts a typical nine (9) week cycle. Section 5. Work Assignments and Training. Training and other non-emergency details will not be performed on holidays, Saturdays after 12:00, Sundays, or after 1600 hours Monday through Friday when it is practical to be scheduled otherwise.
