Fleas and Ticks. I agree to treat my pet for fleas and tick prior to their visit to the camp to prevent fleas and ticks from jumping on to other pets. If fleas or ticks are found on my pet, I give permission to the MRDC staff to treat my pet with a topical flea/tick prevention of their choice and I will be responsible for that fee.

Fleas and Ticks. Proof of purchase of a UVH Veterinarian approved prevention will be needed to enter Unleashed (Bravecto, Trifexis, Revolution, Advantage Multi). If fleas and ticks are found on your pet during its stay at Unleashed, your pet will be treated and owner will responsible for the charges of flea/tick medication.

Fleas and Ticks. Owner warrants that dog(s) are on seasonal flea/tick preventative, April to November. Dogs that are observed by Metro Dogs to be carrying ticks or fleas will be treated with a veterinarian-approved product and the Owner will be charged for this treatment. A dog observed to be carrying ticks or fleas while at Metro Dogs will be isolated and Owner will be notified to pick up the dog.

As the flea and tick shampoo package is not a preventative method and DOES NOT prevent parasites from jumping back onto the pet. We will alert you to the presence of fleas and ticks. Accidents: There is always the possibility an accident could occur. Grooming equipment is kept very sharp for quality cuts, even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible accidents could occur including, but not limited to, cuts, nicks, scratches, razor burn/irritation, and bruising. Please keep in mind we are working on moving clients with a mind and agenda of their own, so accidents can not always be prevented, despite our greatest safety procedures/policies and equipment. Veterinarian bills will not be covered for any minor injury. STYD is not held liable for any injury that is a result of poor coat condition or a pre-existing condition. We make every effort to ensure your pet’s grooming is pleasant and safe, however, if your pet becomes ill or is hurt and the services of a veterinarian are required, you hereby give STYD permission to obtain treatment if you are not available to do so and in addition, you agree to pay such expenses.

If fleas are found during the grooming process on your pet, The Lodge at New Tampa will give your pet an oral flea tablet called Guardian for an additional charge of $7.00. Please remember that parasites are a health hazard to your pet as well as to humans. If your pet should bite, the owner agrees to be responsible for any and all related medical bills, recovery costs, loss of income, and equipment damage. Please keep in mind that an animal bite can be a serious injury. We take all precautions to ensure the safety of your pet as well as the safety of our staff. Mat Removal: Pets with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session. Mats left in a pet’s coat only grow tighter, and can strangle the pet’s skin and cause your pet a lot of discomfort. Mats can be very difficult to remove, and may require your pet to be shaved. When necessary, removing a heavily matted coat could include the risk of nicks, cuts, or abrasions due to folds of skin or small skin growths that become trapped in the matted fur. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, causing severe skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. Moist skin and matted fur can also attract maggots which can cause severe skin inflammation and infection. After effects of the mat removal process can include itchiness to the skin, skin redness, self inflicted skin irritations or abrasions, and failure of the hair to regrow. Shaved pets can also be prone to sunburn and should be kept out of the sun until the hairs grows back to a sufficient length to protect the skin. Prevention is the best defense against matting by scheduling regular grooming appointments to keep your pet’s hair coat clean, mat free, and healthy. Depending on the severity of matting, an additional matting fee may be applied to your ▇▇▇▇.

Fleas and Ticks. Owner agrees that if any fleas or ticks are discovered on the Pet(s) during check-in or at any time during the Pet’s Services, Groomer may administer a flea bath to the Pet(s) at Owner’s expense, and Groomer may administer a spot flea and/or tick treatment to any Pet(s) at its premises. Owner understands that flea baths and other flea and tick treatments provided by Groomer only temporarily resolve such issues, and Owner should consult its veterinarian for advice concerning more permanent solutions.
