Common use of Floating Days Clause in Contracts

Floating Days. 14.3.1 Floating days are additional paid days off which are not defined holidays and during which the Company will remain open. Employees are eligible for three (3) floating days per calendar year. Floating days must be used within the calendar year or they are forfeited. Floating days will be made available by Management to the limit required by the department to assure appropriate business staffing. Employees must schedule their floating days within these limits with the mutual agreement of their Supervisor. ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇’▇ Birthday Presidents’ Day Veterans Day Employee’s Birthday 14.3.2 Employees in their first year of employment will be eligible for floating days during that calendar year as follows: January 1 through April 30 Three (3) 8-hour days May 1 through September 30 Two (2) 8-hour days October 1 through November 30 One (1) 8-hour day December 1 through December 31 0 days 14.3.3 Scheduled floating days qualify as a holiday for pay. Part-Time regular employees receive pay for floating days per Section 14.2.2 within this Article.
