Formal Level 1. A - If a complaint is not resolved in a conference between the affected bargaining unit member(s) and his immediate supervisor, the complaint may be formalized as a grievance. A formalized grievance shall be submitted in writing within fourteen (14) days of the meeting between the supervisor and the affected bargaining unit member(s). A copy of the grievance shall be sent to the Union and the immediate supervisor. The immediate supervisor shall within fourteen (14) days of the receipt of the grievance render a written decision. A copy of this decision shall be forwarded to the grievant(s) and the Union. FORMAL LEVEL 1.B - When the supervisor(s) is/are not the Superintendent, the process described in 1A is expanded to include the next supervisory level if the grievant is not satisfied at 1A level, prior to proceeding to Level 2.
