Fulfillment of Special Duty Assignments – Defined a. Successful completion of a special duty assignment requires at a minimum completion of the minimum tenure requirements of each special duty assignment (as set forth in Article XI, Section B of this Agreement
Fulfillment of Special Duty Assignments – Defined a. Successful completion of a special duty assignment requires at a minimum completion of the minimum tenure requirements of each special duty assignment (as set forth in Article XIII, Section B of this Agreement ["Special Duty Selection Procedure" - minimum and maximum lengths of appointment]).
b. Successful completion of a special duty assignment further requires an overall evaluation of at least "meets standards" or "good".
c. SWAT will be considered a successful completed special duty assignment upon completion of two (2) years of continuous service with the team.
d. Field Training Officer (FTO) will be considered a successfully completed special duty assignment when the officer has served as an FTO for a minimum of one (1) year and has trained at least two (2) trainees through one complete phase of the training cycle. Special duty assignments shall not be made solely for the purpose of qualifying an officer, corporal or sergeant for the Master designation.
