Global Positioning System. The parties hereby agree to the concept of GPS systems operated by employees covered by this Agreement, provided that the parties acknowledge that any GPS system allows for deviations from point-to-point travel and the ability for employees to turn off the system.
Global Positioning System. Your NissanConnect Services work using wireless communication networks and the Global Positioning System („GPS“) satellite network. NOT ALL NISSANCONNECT SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE, PARTICULARLY IN REMOTE OR ENCLOSED AREAS, OR ON ALL CARS, AT ALL TIMES. The area that you are driving in may affect the service that we can provide to you, including but not limited to routing service. Additionally, services are not available if the GPS system is not working . Certain programming limitations of the GPS system may impair our ability to determine your Vehicle's precise location.

A Global Positioning System (GPS) uses a constellation of satellites and earth stationed receivers to determine geodetic positions (latitude and longitude) on the surface of the earth. WSDOT personnel use this survey technology. (See the Highway Surveying Manual for more detailed discussions.) GPS technology is changing rapidly. The key point is for the designer and surveyor to select the best tool (GPS or conventional applications) for doing the survey fieldwork. Often, a combination of GPS and conventional (Total Station) surveying is appropriate.
Global Positioning System. The Employer shall have the authority, without further consultation with the Union, to adopt, install, use, or otherwise take advantage of any technology (such as, but not limited to, GPS and vehicle monitoring units) that shall allow it to monitor the performance of its employees and the operation of its equipment. The Union acknowledges such authority and agrees that the information provided by such technology may be used to justify discipline for covered employees, subject to the grievance procedure outline in Article 1, Section 1.05, 1.06, 1.07.
Global Positioning System. The ▇▇▇▇ County Schools Transportation Department shall provide each vehicle operated under this Agreement with a Global Positioning System device as specified and approved by the ▇▇▇▇ County Schools. The Contractor shall ensure this equipment is functional and properly maintained, and that the Contractor's employees are trained in the proper use of this equipment. Any malfunction or degradation of the equipment shall be immediately reported to the ▇▇▇▇ County Schools Transportation Department so that repairs may be affected. Any tampering with this equipment by the Contractor or their employees is strictly prohibited and may be considered a Material Breach of this Agreement. Contractors are responsible for the replacement cost of any lost or maliciously damaged GPS equipment.
Global Positioning System. CONTRACTOR shall maintain a Global Positioning System and install new technology as it becomes available.
Global Positioning System. The State prefers that the vehicles utilized by the Broker be equipped with Global Positioning Systems (GPS) which keep a record of the activity of the drivers while providing NEMT.
Global Positioning System. The CSEA and the District agree to adhere to the following articles regarding the global positioning system on all school buses and all white fleet vehicles to track the location of those buses and all white fleet vehicles.
14.10.1 In the event the District receives a complaint or alert regarding an employee operating a school bus or white fleet vehicle, and the District has reason to believe that the Zonar results may verify the complaint/alert or otherwise support that an employee has violated a provision in the Personnel Commission Rules and Regulations for the Classified Service, the District may use the Zonar results as evidence in support of subsequent disciplinary action, subject to CSEA's right to object on grounds provided for in the Personnel Commission Rules and Regulations.
14.10.2 Except as provided in Article 14.10.1 above, Driver Performance Reports derived from Zonar will only be posted as positive reinforcement. If the results of a Driver Performance Report lead to a concern about driver performance, the driver's supervisor may discuss those results/concerns in a private meeting with the driver.
14.10.3 If data gathered from Zonar is to be used in an employee discipline situation, the employee shall be provided, upon request, with that data and/or reports after completion of the District's investigation into the matter.
14.10.4 Except as stated herein, Articles 14.10.1, 14.10.2 and 14.10.3 does not affect the District's and CSEA's rights under the disciplinary provisions in the Personnel Commission Rules and Regulations.
Global Positioning System. Many of the electronic devices currently in use by the Department, including but not limited to radios, department cell phones, mobile data computers (MDC), in-car video systems, and Department squad cars have built–in GPS tracking components that cannot be altered or modified to remove storage of the GPS data. The Department shall notuse stored GPS data to discipline an officer. GPS data may be monitored in real time and shall not be used as the sole reason for issuing discipline against an officer.
Global Positioning System. (GPS) for Sewer District and Department of Public Works Vehicles
i. In the event an employee cannot be reached via the radio issued by Saratoga County and the County has a concern for the employee’s safety and/or health.
ii. In the event there is an emergency situation break and the County seeks to determine the closest employees to send to the emergency break.
iii. In the event the County receives an outside complaint about the whereabouts of a county owned vehicle. Only employees outside of the bargaining unit shall have access to the information obtained from GPS technology. The County may review data gathered from GPS technology to assess whether Sewer District and DPW vehicles are idling excessively. If during the course of the review the County believes that a vehicle is idling in excess, the County shall counsel the employee responsible for the vehicle. After counseling an employee and if a pattern of abuse persists, Saratoga County reserves the right to discipline an employee in accordance with Article XX.
