Gradation. All standard sizes of aggregates shall meet the gradation requirements of Table 905-1 when tested in accordance with AASHTO T27, except that aggregate to be used in a base course or as a stabilizer aggregate will be tested for gradation in accordance with AASHTO T88 as modified by the Department. Copies of the modified test procedures are available upon request from the Materials and Tests Unit. The amount of material passing the No. 200 sieve will be determined by washing. Standard sizes of coarse aggregate are identified by numerical or alphabetical designation. Standard sizes of fine aggregate are identified by number followed by the suffix “S”.

Gradation. Fills objects using a gradation that grows lighter towards the center. This can only be specified when Translucent mode is selected in Fill. Specifies the fill width when using the gradation filling. Gradation is used to fill the distance of the width specified from the inside of the frame. Areas not within the gradation width will not be filled. Gradation is applied from the Translucency value specified to 100; Translucency can be specified between 0 and 100. Specifies the solid margin width when using gradation filling. The solid margin width within the gradation width is filled without using gradation, while the remainder of the gradation width is filled using gradation. Reverses the gradation direction when using gradation filling. Objects are filled using gradation that grows darker towards the center. Areas not within the gradation width will be filled using the Translucency value specified. Specifies the type of line for Extend Line on the Edit menu.
