Grammatical Forms Clause Samples

The Grammatical Forms clause defines how grammatical variations—such as singular and plural forms, gendered pronouns, or verb tenses—should be interpreted throughout the contract. It typically clarifies that words in one grammatical form include their other forms, so a term defined in the singular also applies to the plural, and vice versa. This ensures consistency and prevents disputes over technicalities in language, promoting clarity and reducing ambiguity in the interpretation of contractual terms.
