Grievance Handling. No Employee or Union representative shall leave his/her work assignment to investigate, file or process grievances without first securing permission of the Fire Chief or their designee. In the event of a grievance, the Employee shall always perform their assigned work task and grieve their complaint later, unless the Employee reasonably believes that the assignment endangers their immediate safety.
