HAMP Clause Samples

The HAMP clause refers to provisions related to the Home Affordable Modification Program, a federal initiative designed to help homeowners avoid foreclosure by modifying their mortgage terms. In practice, this clause outlines the eligibility criteria, application process, and the obligations of both the borrower and lender under the program, such as reduced interest rates or extended loan terms.
