Holiday In Lieu. The following classifications receive pay for City-observed holidays in the form of five percent (5%) of base pay for regularly-scheduled hours each pay period: Police Sergeant, Police Agent, Police Officer, Police Officer Trainee, Communications Officer, and Lead Communications Officer. Police Officer Trainees that attend a Police Academy that observe holidays shall not be entitled to Holiday In-Lieu Pay. The Parties agree that to the extent permitted by law, Holiday In-Lieu Pay is special compensation and shall be reported as such to CalPERS, pursuant to Title 2 CCR. section 571(a)(5) and 571.1(a)(4).
