Common use of HOURS/DAYS OF WORK Clause in Contracts

HOURS/DAYS OF WORK. 6.01 A full-time equivalent (FTE) School Year Employee will work thirty-five (35) hours per week for not less than ten (10) months. 6.02 A full-time equivalent (FTE) Calendar Year Employee will work thirty-seven and one-half (37.5) hours per week. 6.03 In each working day, shifts equal to or exceeding six (6) hours shall include two (2) fifteen (15) minute breaks and exclude a one (1) hour lunch break. Where the Employer and Employee mutually agree, the meal period may be thirty (30) minutes. 6.04 Notwithstanding Articles 6.01, 6.02 and 6.03 alternate hours of work may be agreed to between the Employer and Employees. 6.05 The Employer will establish the work days for each school term and provide the Association with an opportunity to comment prior to implementation. Employees affected by the established work days will be informed prior to the commencement of the school term. 6.06 Spring break and Christmas break will normally be non-working days for School Year Employees.
