Impartiality as to Rates and Services Sample Clauses
The "Impartiality as to Rates and Services" clause ensures that a service provider treats all customers or clients equally regarding the rates charged and the services provided. In practice, this means the provider cannot offer preferential pricing or service levels to certain parties while discriminating against others under similar circumstances. For example, a utility company would be required to offer the same rates and service quality to all customers in a given category, regardless of their identity or relationship with the company. This clause is essential for promoting fairness and preventing discriminatory practices, thereby fostering trust and compliance with regulatory standards.
Impartiality as to Rates and Services.
(1) Subject to Section (f)(2) and (f)(3), in providing visitor services, the Concessioner must require its employees to observe a strict impartiality as to rates and services in all circumstances. The Concessioner shall comply with all Applicable Laws relating to nondiscrimination in providing visitor services to the public including, without limitation, those set forth in Exhibit C.
(2) The Concessioner may grant complimentary or reduced rates under such circumstances as are customary in businesses of the character conducted under this Contract. However, the Director reserves the right to review and modify the Concessioner's complimentary or reduced rate policies and practices as part of its rate approval process.
(3) The Concessioner will provide Federal employees conducting official business reduced rates for lodging, essential transportation and other specified services necessary for conducting official business in accordance with guidelines established by the Director. Complimentary or reduced rates and charges shall otherwise not be provided to Federal employees by the Concessioner except to the extent that they are equally available to the general public.

The Concessionaire shall comply with all Applicable Laws relating to nondiscrimination in providing visitor services to the public, including those set forth in Exhibit A.
2) The Concessionaire may grant complimentary or reduced rates and charges under such circumstances as are customary in a concession related business. However, Reclamation reserves the right to review and modify the Concessionaire’s complimentary or reduced rate and charges policies and practices as part of its rate approval process.
