Common use of Initial Appointments Clause in Contracts

Initial Appointments. a. Head coaches shall, at the option of the President, be offered either an athletic appointment of three (3) to ten (10) years duration or a probationary appointment. b. Assistant coaches may be offered an athletic appointment of up to three (3) years duration. c. Nothing in this Agreement shall preclude the award of a fixed-term contract consisting primarily of coaching and/or athletic related duties.
