Installation Approval Clause Samples
The Installation Approval clause establishes the requirement for the client or a designated party to formally review and approve the installation of goods, equipment, or systems before final acceptance. In practice, this clause typically outlines the process for inspection, sets criteria for what constitutes satisfactory installation, and may specify timelines for providing approval or raising objections. Its core function is to ensure that the installed items meet agreed-upon standards and specifications, thereby protecting the client from accepting incomplete or substandard work.
Installation Approval. An FAA Letter of TSO Design Approval does not constitute an installation approval for the TSO appliance on an aircraft. The installer must obtain installation approval from their civil airworthiness authority for use on an aircraft registered under that authority.
Installation Approval. The DGCA acceptance of an FAA-approved article design does not constitute an installation approval for the article on an aircraft. The installer must obtain an installation approval from the DGCA.
Installation Approval. A CAAI APA does not constitute an installation approval for the TSO appliance on an aircraft. The installer must obtain installation approval from their civil airworthiness authority for use on an aircraft registered under that authority.
Installation Approval. DGAC acceptance of an FAA-approved appliance design does not constitute an installation approval for the appliance on an aircraft. The installer must obtain an installation approval from DGAC.
Installation Approval. An appliance for which an AR Appliance Type Design Approval has been granted, may be installed on Russian aircraft for the conduct of ground and flight tests or checks provided that each article and appliance installed on a prototype aircraft has an FAA Airworthiness Approval tag issued for “conformity” (see paragraph 4.2).

The installer shall be required to obtain installation approval from its implementing authority for use on a product that is under the implementing authority’s regulatory control.
Installation Approval. Construction and equipment installation shall proceed in accordance with the construction schedule approved by Agency and attached hereto as Schedule G (Construction and Installation Schedule).
