Interconnection Facility. See “Internetwork Facilities”. The physical point on the network where the two parties interconnect. The IP is the demarcation point between ownership of the transmission facility. A telecommunications service Provider authorized by the FCC to provide interstate long distance communications services between LATAs and is authorized by the State to provide InterLATA and/or IntraLATA long distance communications services within the State.
