INTERNET ACCEPTABLE USE. A. To provide an intellectual atmosphere that includes access to the Internet, the parties believe that all teachers should have the opportunity to develop skills in using computer technology. Having access to the Internet will allow the teacher to access and use the Internet to transmit material, which is consistent with the educational goals of the school district, as well as allow the teacher to access and transmit appropriate material to be used in the educational environment.
INTERNET ACCEPTABLE USE. The parties will meet and review the current Internet Acceptable Use (IAU) form. The parties may revise or rework the form if necessary. Until this process is completed, the current form will remain in effect. An employee signature on the IAU form does not waive any right the Association may have to bargain.

While the district’s intent is to make Internet access available in order to further educational goals and objectives, it is possible to access other materials as well. All users should be aware that some material accessible via the Internet may contain items that are illegal, defamatory, inaccurate, or potentially offensive to some people. SCS institutes technical methods or systems to regulate Internet access, however, those methods can not guarantee compliance with the district’s acceptable use policy. That notwithstanding, the district believes that the benefits to users exceed any disadvantages. b. The primary purpose of district-provided Internet access is to facilitate communications in support of research and education. To remain eligible as users, use must be in support of and consistent with the educational objectives of Sheridan Community Schools. Access is a privilege, not a right. Access entails responsibility. c. Users should not expect that files stored on school-based computers will always be private. SCS reserves the right to monitor and audit all internal and external usage. Administrators may spot-check files and network traffic to maintain the performance/reliability of the network and insure that users are acting responsibly. Students are responsible for good behavior on-line just as they are in a classroom or other area of school. d. The following uses of school-provided Internet access are not permitted: i. to access, upload, download, or distribute illegal, vulgar, abusive, pornographic, obscene, or sexually explicit material, ii. to transmit vulgar, obscene, abusive, or sexually explicit language, iii. to violate any local, state, or federal statute, iv. to vandalize, damage, or disable the property of another individual or organization, v. to access another individual’s materials, information, or files without permission, vi. to download software without the permission of building technol...

  • Internet Access Hotels and Airports Employees who travel may need to access their e-mail at night. Many hotels provide free high speed internet access and Tyler employees are encouraged to use such hotels whenever possible. If an employee’s hotel charges for internet access it is reimbursable up to $10.00 per day. Charges for internet access at airports are not reimbursable.

  • Internet Use 7.1. Customer is prohibited from posting or transmitting unlawful material on or via the Internet or the World Wide Web. 7.2. If Leaseweb reasonably suspects that Customer is subject to a DoS attack, DDoS attack, DRDoS attack or another attack and (in Leaseweb’s reasonable opinion) such attack negatively affects the Infrastructure, Leaseweb shall be entitled to immediately block access to Customer's Infrastructure. In the event that Customer is subject to repetitive attacks, and Customer does not successfully take measures to prevent that future attacks may negatively affect Leaseweb’s Infrastructure, then Leaseweb shall be entitled to immediately terminate theSales Contract by sending a written notice to Customer.

  • ICANN Access Registry Operator shall provide bulk access to the zone files for the TLD to ICANN or its designee on a continuous basis in the manner ICANN may reasonably specify from time to time. Access will be provided at least daily. Zone files will include SRS data committed as close as possible to 00:00:00 UTC.
