IntraMTA Traffic Sample Clauses

The IntraMTA Traffic clause defines how traffic that is exchanged within the same Metropolitan Trading Area (MTA) is identified and managed between telecommunications carriers. Typically, this clause specifies the criteria for classifying calls as intraMTA, such as calls that originate and terminate within the same MTA, and outlines the applicable rates or settlement procedures for such traffic. By clearly delineating the treatment of intraMTA traffic, the clause ensures accurate billing and prevents disputes over call classification, thereby promoting operational clarity and fairness between parties.
IntraMTA Traffic. CMRS traffic originated by a Customer of one Party on that Party's network in an MTA and terminated to a Customer of the other Party on that Party's network in the same MTA in which the call originated. For purposes of determining originating and terminating points of a call under this Agreement, Emergency will use the Cell Site to which the Emergency Customer placing or receiving the call is connected at the beginning of the call.
IntraMTA Traffic. Telecommunications traffic that at the beginning of the call originates in one MTA and terminates in the same MTA. Unless a more accurate study method is available, the Parties have agreed to use a factor for the determination of interMTA Traffic by using both the Calling/Called MTA jurisdiction and the JIP/Called MTA jurisdiction. If both methods show the call to be InterMTA the call will be classified as InterMTA. If either the JIP/Called MTA method OR the Calling/Called method shows IntraMTA it will be classified as IntraMTA. If a traffic study conducted demonstrates that a different interMTA factor is appropriate, the Parties shall so amend the contract, with the new factor to apply from the Effective Date of the amendment forward. The agreed upon factor is located in the Pricing Appendix of this Agreement.

IntraMTA Traffic. 6.3.5.1 Bill and Keep shall apply to the exchange of IntraMTA traffic, solely when such traffic terminates to the End User Customers (including wireless traffic of end user customers of WSP’s wireless roaming partners) of one of the Parties. 6.3.5.2 Notwithstanding anything in this Agreement to the contrary, Bill and Keep shall not apply to the right of CenturyLink to be compensated for Transit Traffic that transits a CenturyLink Tandem. 6.3.5.3 WSP agrees that it will only route traffic from its own wireless End User Customers (including wireless traffic of end user customers of WSP’s wireless roaming partners) to CenturyLink for termination to CenturyLink End User Customers or as Transit Traffic destined for a third party. In the event WSP routes any traffic from third parties to CenturyLink in violation of this paragraph, CenturyLink shall be entitled to seek injunctive relief and to recover damages, including without limitation, compensation for such traffic at the rate that is then applicable to intrastate or interstate access traffic, as appropriate.
IntraMTA Traffic. 6.3.5.1 End Office Call Termination and Tandem Switched Transport 6.3.5.1.1 The Parties agree that, because WSP is a new entrant in South Dakota, end office call termination and tandem switched transport compensation for traffic within the Local Calling Area shall be based upon the ▇▇▇▇ and keep compensation mechanism, whereby neither Party charges the other Party reciprocal compensation for termination of EAS/Local traffic originated by the other Party. ▇▇▇▇ and keep shall govern compensation for such traffic exchanged by the Parties in this state until the earlier of: (1) the expiration of this agreement, or (2) further action by the Federal Communications Commission, or a court of competent jurisdiction, vacates, replaces, modifies, or supersedes the applicable rules adopted in Order on Remand and Report and Order, CC Docket Nos. ▇▇- ▇▇, ▇▇-▇▇, ▇▇▇ ▇▇-▇▇▇ (▇▇▇. • Transit Traffic 7.2.2.3.1 CenturyLink will accept traffic originated by CLEC’s network and/or its end user(s) for termination to other Telecommunications Carrier’s network and/or its end users that is connected to CenturyLink's Switch. CenturyLink will also terminate traffic from these other Telecommunications Carriers’ network and/or its end users to CLEC’s network and/or its end users. For purposes of the Agreement, transit traffic does not include traffic carried by Interexchange Carriers. That traffic is defined as Jointly Provided Switched Access. 7.2.2.3.2 The Parties involved in transporting transit traffic will deliver calls to each involved network with CCS/SS7 protocol and the appropriate ISUP/TCAP messages to facilitate full Interoperability and Billing functions. 7.2.2.3.3 The originating company is responsible for payment of appropriate rates to the transit company and to the terminating company. The Parties agree to enter into traffic exchange agreements with third party Telecommunications Carriers prior to delivering traffic to be transited to third party Telecommunications Carriers. In the event one Party originates traffic that transits the second Party’s network to reach a third party Telecommunications Carrier with whom the originating Party does not have a traffic exchange agreement, then the originating Party will indemnify, defend and hold harmless the second Party against any and all charges levied by such third party Telecommunications Carrier, including any termination charges related to such traffic and any attorneys fees and expenses. In the case of IntraLATA LEC Toll traffic where CenturyLink is the designated IntraLATA Toll provider for existing LECs, CenturyLink will be responsible for payment of appropriate usage rates. 7.2.2.3.4 When CenturyLink receives an unqueried call from CLEC to a telephone number that has been ported to another local services provider, the transit rate will apply in addition to any query rates. 7.2.2.3.5 In the case of a transit call that terminates in the Local Calling Area but in a different state than the call originated, and the CLEC does not have an agreement with CenturyLink in the state where the transit call terminated, CLEC must execute an agreement for that state if it is a state served by CenturyLink. In the absence of a second agreement, the transit rate in Exhibit A of this Agreement will be billed to the CLEC.

  • Local Traffic Traffic that is originated by a Customer of one Party on that Party’s network and terminates to a Customer of the other Party on that other Party’s network within Verizon's then current local calling area (including non-optional local calling scope arrangements) as defined in Verizon’s effective Customer Tariffs. A non- optional local calling scope arrangement is an arrangement that provides Customers a local calling scope (Extended Area Service, “EAS”), beyond their basic exchange serving area. Local Traffic does not include optional local calling scope traffic (i.e., traffic that under an optional rate package chosen by the Customer terminates outside of the Customer’s basic exchange serving area). IntraLATA calls originated on a 1+ presubscription basis, or on a casual dialed (10XXX/101XXXX) basis are not considered Local Traffic. Local Traffic does not include any Internet Traffic.
