Common use of LARGE CLASS PAY Clause in Contracts

LARGE CLASS PAY. ‌‌ 15.1 A large class for the purpose of additional compensation under the terms of this Article is defined as having 55 or more students enrolled at census.‌ 15.2 Eligible courses are those that meet general education, UC and CSU requirements, those that meet graduation requirements, major requirements, and vocational courses required for a certificate, degree, or transfer. (Ineligible courses are open skills labs, all matriculation activities, team sports and independent study.) Assignment to teach a large class is voluntary.‌ 15.3 Additional compensation shall be provided as specified in the table below: The compensation is consideration for the extra time needed for required paperwork.‌ Effective August 15, 2016 compensation per section per semester for large classes:‌  55-69 students - $450.00‌  70-94 students - $500.00  95-125 students - $550.00 Compensation amounts above shall be paid at the end of the semester in which large classes were taught.‌
