Common use of Lateral Clause in Contracts

Lateral. A lateral is movement of an employee in the same functional assignment covered by this Agreement to a different program or project operated by the Employer. Since there is no significant difference between the functional assignments no additional probationary period is required at the time the lateral takes place.
