Step 3. Adjustment Board Clause Samples

The 'Step 3. Adjustment Board' clause establishes a formal process for resolving disputes or grievances that have not been settled at earlier stages. Typically, this clause outlines the formation of a board—often composed of representatives from both parties—to review the issue, hear arguments, and attempt to reach a resolution. For example, if an employee grievance remains unresolved after initial discussions, it may be escalated to the Adjustment Board for further consideration. The core function of this clause is to provide a structured, impartial mechanism for dispute resolution, helping to ensure fairness and prevent conflicts from escalating further.
