LAYOFFS AND RECALL. 13 (1) Layoffs shall be made within classification on a countywide basis in the 14 inverse order of total County seniority. Employees on emergency or 15 temporary appointment in the affected classification shall be laid off prior to 16 the layoff of employees on regular appointment. 17 (2) The Department of Human Resources will make every reasonable effort to 18 place laid off employees in comparable positions where vacancies exist. 19 (3) Employees on layoff shall be recalled to vacancies in their classification in the 20 inverse order of layoff.
