Leadership Development Program. Section 1. This Article describes conditions and compensation for members who participate in the SEIU Leadership Development Program. Leadership Development participants shall have rights and privileges outlined in this Agreement pertaining to wages, benefits and working conditions but not direct representation (such as LMC, grievance procedure, etc). The program includes strong hands-on and classroom components, as well as a clear plan for follow-up and on-going development after members return to their jobs. More experienced member-leaders may play a role in acting as a mentor to others. Priorities for recruitment include a focus on emerging leaders. The program runs year-round in courses of up to eight (8) weeks unless by mutual agreement between the Union and the Employer. Members shall not participate in the Leadership Development Program more than once per calendar year except by mutual agreement between the Union and the Employer. Subsequent Member Organizing opportunities shall fall under Article 51 - Compensation for Member Organizers (MOCs). Section 2. Members participating in the Leadership Development Program will be restricted to the activities listed in the core curriculum. (See Attachment B) (a) If a member participating in the Leadership Development Program is assigned a new role or duties that fall outside the scope of this program they shall be compensated according to Article 50 - Compensation for Member Organizers (MOCs). (b) If a member participating in the Leadership Develop Program encounters a question, concern, problem, or conflict in their work, they can seek recourse by engaging the SEIU 503 staff member of their choice and/or a member of the SEIU 503 Board of Directors. Section 3. Article 50 language notwithstanding, members who participate in the program described in this Article will be compensated as follows: (a) Leadership Development trainees shall be paid replacement wages, but no less than the minimum rate outlined below. (b) The minimum wage paid to program participants is eighteen ($18.00) dollars per hour , based on a forty (40) hours per week assumption. Participants will be paid on an hourly basis. (c) Members who have health care coverage on their SEIU-represented job, shall be paid COBRA reimbursements for their work-related coverage to continue for the full duration of their Leadership Development course. Leadership Development Program. The City agrees to fund, develop, and implement a leadership development program for City managers. In addition to the resources allocated to the program by DHR, $75,000 will be provided by DHR to augment the program with professional coaching, specialized seminars and joint initiatives. The parties will meet annually to review and evaluate the program.
Leadership Development Program. In response to the MEEA Proposal for a Five Star Leadership Program, the administration will prepare a recommendation for a multi-year leadership development program to be presented to Mutual Concerns for MEEA and Board approval. The program shall be designed to provide teacher leadership growth opportunities and provide administrative mentoring support to up to two teachers per school. The administration will develop eligibility criteria and a selection process. Teachers selected to participate in the program will receive a stipend of $500 per year.

Upon mutual agreement between MEA and the City, completion of certain elements of the program may be identified as required of all managers. Unit members will participate on City time. Topics will include, but not be limited to, strategic planning, communication, fiscal management, knowledge transfer, emotional intelligence, and workforce planning.   • Program Development NWESD agrees that priority in the development of new applications services by WSIPC shall be in accordance with the expressed direction of the WSIPC Board of Directors operating under their bylaws.

  • Curriculum Development This includes the analysis and coordination of textual materials; constant review of current literature in the field, some of which are selected for the college library collection, the preparation of selective, descriptive materials such as outlines and syllabi; conferring with other faculty and administration on curricular problems; and, the attendance and participation in inter and intra-college conferences and advisory committees.

  • Professional Development Program (a) The parties agree to continue a Professional Development Program for the maintenance and development of the faculty members' professional competence and effectiveness. It is agreed that maintenance of currency of subject knowledge, the improvement of performance of faculty duties, and the maintenance and improvement of professional competence, including instructional skills, are the primary professional development activities of faculty members. (b) Information collected as part of this program shall be the sole property of the faculty member. This information or any judgments arising from this program shall not be used to determine non-renewal or termination of a faculty member's contract, suspension or dismissal of a faculty member, denial of advancement on the salary scale, nor affect any other administrative decisions pertaining to the promotion or employment status of the faculty member. (c) A joint advisory committee consisting of three regular faculty members who shall be elected by and are P.D. Committee Chairpersons and three administrators shall make recommendations for the operation, financing and management of the Professional Development Program.

  • Staff Development As part of their induction, new staff will be made aware of this policy and will be asked to ensure compliance with its procedures at all times.
