Leakage test. A system leakage test shall be performed. The probe shall be disconnected from the exhaust system and the end plugged. The analyser pump shall be switched on. After an initial stabilization period all flow-meters should read zero. If not, the sampling lines shall be checked and the fault corrected. The maximum allowable leakage rate on the vacuum side shall be 0.5 per cent of the in-use flow rate for the portion of the system being checked. The analyser flows and bypass flows may be used to estimate the in-use flow rates. Another method is the introduction of a concentration step change at the beginning of the sampling line by switching from zero to span gas. If after an adequate period of time the reading shows a lower concentration compared to the introduced concentration, this points to calibration or leakage problems.

The maximum allowable leakage rate on the vacuum side shall be 0.5 per cent of the in-use flow rate for the portion of the system being checked. The analyser flows and bypass flows may be used to estimate the in-use flow rates. Alternatively, the system may be evacuated to a pressure of at least 20 kPa vacuum (80 kPa absolute). After an initial stabilization period the pressure increase Δp (kPa/min) in the system shall not exceed: Δp = p / Vs x 0.005 x qvs (60) where: Vs is the system volume, l qvs is the system flow rate, l/min Another method is the introduction of a concentration step change at the beginning of the sampling line by switching from zero to span gas. If for a correctly calibrated analyser after an adequate period of time the reading is ≤ 99 per cent compared to the introduced concentration, this points to a leakage problem that shall be corrected.
Leakage test. 1. A leakage test shall be conducted after the pressure test has been satisfactorily completed. The Contractor shall, as before, furnish all pumps, pipe, connections and other items required to satisfactorily complete the leakage test. The leakage test shall have a duration of two hours at the pressure specified for the pressure test. The Project Representative, or his duly authorized representative, shall witness these tests. The Contractor shall be responsible for finding and repairing leaks. No additional cost may be incurred by the Owner due to repairs because of failure of either test. The Project Representative has the authority to determine the number of repairs that will be made within a given length of pipe and has the right to request the Contractor to remove and relay a section of pipe if such does not comply with the established leakage rates as shown in the following table: 3 0.25 4 0.33 6 0.50 8 0.66 10 0.83 12 0.99 16 1.32
Leakage test. A. All newly installed and backfilled pipe shall be subjected to a leakage test, conducted in the presence of OWNER. B. Test pressure shall be 150 percent of system operating pressure based on pressure as measured at lowest point in pipeline. C. The force main shall be slowly filled with water, and the specified test pressure shall be applied (based on the elevation of the lowest point of the line or section under test and corrected to the elevation of the test gauge) with a pump connected to the pipe in a manner satisfactory to OWNER. CONTRACTOR shall furnish the pump, pipe, connections, gauges, and all necessary apparatus. D. Before applying the specified test pressure, all air shall be expelled from the pipe. If necessary, CONTRACTOR shall make taps at the points of highest elevation before testing, and shall insert plugs after the test has been completed. E. The leakage test shall be conducted by measuring, through a calibrated meter, the amount of water which enters the test section for a period of at least 2 hours. No installation will be accepted until the leakage is less than the number of gallons per hour as determined by the formula: For Ductile Iron Pipe: 1,850 For PVC Pipe: 7,400 L = allowable leakage, gallons/hour N = number of joints in length of pipe tested D = nominal diameter of the pipe, inches The following table has been developed for the commonly used sizes of ductile iron pipe and PVC pipe with nominal laying lengths of 20 feet, under a test pressure of 150 psi. The leakage formulas above may be used when conditions differ from those stated parameters. For HDPE Pipe: 1. Make-up Water Allowance: a. Maximum allowable make-up water at conclusion of test phase shall not exceed recommended amounts stated in the following table. b. Table is based on test pressure equal to 1.5 times pressure class of pipe. F. Any cracked or defective pipes or fittings discovered in consequence of this leakage test shall be replaced with sound material in the manner specified at no cost to OWNER. The test shall be repeated until the results are satisfactory to OWNER.

  • Stability Testing Patheon will conduct stability testing on the Products in accordance with the protocols set out in the Specifications for the separate fees and during the time periods set out in Schedule C. Patheon will not make any changes to these testing protocols without prior written approval from Client. If a confirmed stability test failure occurs, Patheon will notify Client within [***], after which Patheon and Client will jointly determine the proceedings and methods to be undertaken to investigate the cause of the failure, including which party will bear the cost of the investigation. Patheon will not be liable for these costs unless it has failed to perform the Manufacturing Services in accordance with the Specifications and cGMPs. Patheon will give Client all stability test data and results at Client’s request.

  • SAFETY CONDITIONS 8.1 The District shall make every effort to provide a place of employment which is safe. A unit member shall not be required to perform duties under conditions which endanger his/her health or safety. 8.2 The District shall make a good faith effort to reduce or alleviate those conditions which cause stress. The reduction of threats or intimidation by students or other members of the public shall be a continuous effort of both the District and unit members working together. 8.3 Unit members who feel they are being required to work under unsafe or unsanitary conditions, or to perform tasks that endanger their health or safety, shall submit written recommendations for changes to the principal or site administrator. The principal or site administrator shall respond and take corrective action as needed. 8.4 The District shall ensure that each unit member has access to a lockable desk, cupboard or other lockable space. 8.5 Unit members other than the school nurse, shall not be required to provide specialized physical health care. 8.6 Unit members are authorized to administer discipline to students in accordance with the Education Code and the rules and regulations of the District. A written description of the rights and duties of unit members with respect to student discipline shall be provided to unit members at the beginning of each school year. In addition, said written descriptions shall be available at each school site. The District shall not take action against a unit member who uses reasonable and lawful force in the performance of his/her duties. Unit members shall report any physical assault against the unit member to the principal or site administrator, who shall report the incident to the appropriate law enforcement agency. 8.7 During conditions of excessive heat, the Superintendent or designee, whenever appropriate, will reduce the school day for students in schools with non-operable air conditioning, to the State required minimum day. Unit members may be directed to proceed to a district air conditioned location for the remainder of the service day. The Superintendent or designee shall have the discretion to reduce the school day to the State required minimum day whenever other weather conditions pose a danger to students and unit members. Unit members may be directed to proceed to another District location for the remainder of the service day. 8.8 For protection of unit members whose normal duties may require transportation of students in unit member's vehicles, the District shall provide secondary insurance against personal liability for damages for death, injury to a person, or damage or loss of property caused by the negligent act or omission of the unit member when acting within the scope of his/her employment. Additionally, the District will provide this same coverage to unit members who are required to travel from site-to- site or make home visitations in order to perform assigned duties. When a loss occurs, the unit member's primary insurance deductible will be reimbursed up to a maximum of $500.00. If administrator approval is unobtainable, the teacher's best judgment for the protection of student safety shall be included in the above. 8.9 Restrooms shall be available to unit members whenever they are required to render service. 8.10 Adequate lounge facilities shall be provided for unit members' use. Additionally, the District shall provide, when fiscally possible, at least one piece of furniture per site where a staff member may recline. The site safety committee shall determine the placement of these facilities and furniture. 8.11 Unit members shall have the right to refer to the office, a student who exhibits symptoms of illness which endanger the health of other students or the unit member. The student shall not return to the classroom until it is determined by the principal/site administrator that his/her health is not a clear and present danger to those with whom he/she shares space. The student shall be given a pass to return to class signed by the principal/site administrator confirming the decision. 8.12 The District shall reimburse or repair articles of clothing, glasses and hearing aids damaged while the unit member is acting in the proper discharge of disciplinary/ supervisorial duties. In addition, all other accessories damaged under the conditions listed above shall be reimbursed up to a maximum of $200.00.

  • Subsurface Conditions Unless the Contract Documents stipulate specific quantities and units of rock or unsuitable soils, the Contractor shall assume material below the surface of the Earth to be earth and other material that can be removed by power shovel or similar equipment. Should conditions encountered below the surface of the ground be at variance to the number of unit requirements as indicated by drawings or specifications, and absent an agreed-upon unit price established prior to the bid by Addendum, or after contract execution by Change Order, the Contract Sum and/or time shall be adjusted as provided in the Contract Documents for changes in the work.

  • Meter Testing Company shall provide at least twenty-four (24) hours' notice to Seller prior to any test it may perform on the revenue meters or metering equipment. Seller shall have the right to have a representative present during each such test. Seller may request, and Company shall perform, if requested, tests in addition to the every fifth-year test and Seller shall pay the cost of such tests. Company may, in its sole discretion, perform tests in addition to the fifth year test and Company shall pay the cost of such tests. If any of the revenue meters or metering equipment is found to be inaccurate at any time, as determined by testing in accordance with this Section 10.2 (Meter Testing), Company shall promptly cause such equipment to be made accurate, and the period of inaccuracy, as well as an estimate for correct meter readings, shall be determined in accordance with Section 10.3 (Corrections).

  • Random Testing Notwithstanding any provisions of the Collective Agreement or any special agreements appended thereto, section 4.6 of the Canadian Model will not be applied by agreement. If applied to a worker dispatched by the Union, it will be applied or deemed to be applied unilaterally by the Employer. The Union retains the right to grieve the legality of any imposition of random testing in accordance with the Grievance Procedure set out in this Collective Agreement.
