Leave of Absence for Worker’s Compensation Disability. An employee who returns to work within one (1) year from the commencement date of a leave of absence from a Workers Compensation related disability shall be entitled to return to the employee's original position. Thereafter, the employee shall exercise bumping rights.
Leave of Absence for Worker’s Compensation Disability. An employee who returns to work within one (1) year from the commencement date of a leave of absence from a workers compensation related disability shall be entitled to return to the employee’s original position. Thereafter, the employee shall return to a position within his/her former classification for which he/she is qualified and has seniority, or if none, then in a like or similar classification for which he/she is qualified and has seniority. An employee returning to work from a worker’s compensation disability leave shall submit a physician’s statement indicating the employee’s ability to return to work and perform employee’s regular work duties.

  • General Leave of Absence a) Leave of absence without pay may be granted to employees for valid reasons as set out by Company policy. b) An employee on general leave of absence shall not accumulate sick leave credits, or earn vacation but shall retain the seniority, sick leave credits, and vacation credits earned prior to commencing leave of absence. c) Employees do not have the option of continuing their benefit coverage during the leave. d) Employees on leave of absence shall be required to apply for any extension.
