If operational needs require a change in these plans during the leave, the Employer will give the employee at least thirty (30) days' notice so that alternatives can be considered, including whether the employee wishes to return to work earlier. Every reasonable effort will be made to return the employee at the end of the leave to the former position or to a position which is as similar as possible in duties, pay, and location.
