Less Than One Year of Service Clause Samples

The "Less Than One Year of Service" clause defines how certain rights, benefits, or obligations apply to individuals who have been employed for less than one year. Typically, this clause may limit eligibility for benefits such as severance pay, bonuses, or certain types of leave until the employee has completed a full year of service. For example, an employee who resigns or is terminated before reaching their one-year anniversary might not qualify for specific entitlements that are otherwise available to longer-serving staff. The core function of this clause is to set clear thresholds for benefit eligibility, thereby managing employer obligations and clarifying expectations for new employees.
