LICENSE TO PRACTICE Clause Samples
The "License to Practice" clause grants one party the legal right to use, make, or sell an invention or intellectual property covered by a patent or similar protection. Typically, this clause specifies the scope of the license, such as whether it is exclusive or non-exclusive, and may outline any limitations or conditions, like geographic regions or fields of use. Its core function is to ensure that the licensee has clear, authorized permission to practice the patented invention, thereby reducing the risk of infringement disputes and clarifying the rights and obligations of both parties.
