Long Term Assignments. ▇▇.▇▇.▇▇.▇▇.▇▇ A written statement shall be issued to all Occasional Teachers on a long term assignment indicating: a) Beginning date; b) Ending date (if known); c) School and Teaching position for the assignment; d) Grid position of the Occasional Teacher in the assignment. ▇▇.▇▇.▇▇.▇▇.▇▇ In the event that the long term assignment is to be terminated prior to the originally scheduled termination date, the Long Term Occasional Teacher shall be given five (5) teaching days notice or five (5) days’ pay in lieu of notice, unless the termination of the assignment is for just cause. ▇▇.▇▇.▇▇.▇▇.▇▇ In the event that the Teacher being replaced adjusts the date(s) of the leave by requesting an earlier start date or an extension of the end date, the Occasional Teacher shall be asked to adjust the date(s) of the long term assignment. A refusal to adjust the start or end date shall not negatively impact on the Occasional Teacher’s right to the originally scheduled Long Term Assignment.
