Lunch Supervision Clause Samples
The Lunch Supervision clause establishes the responsibility for overseeing students during their lunch period. Typically, it specifies which party—such as teachers, staff, or external supervisors—must be present to monitor students, and may outline the required ratio of supervisors to students or the specific duties involved, like ensuring safety and managing behavior. Lunch Supervision. Without their consent, unit members shall not be required to supervise students during the students’ lunch period except in cases of extreme emergency, such as fire drills or other natural disaster drills or a situation involving a large scale student disturbance.
Lunch Supervision. 1. The District may hire non-bargaining unit members for lunch supervisor, at a pay rate determined by the District before offering to any bargaining unit member.
2. All lunch supervisor positions not filled by a non-bargaining unit member shall be posted annually in separate postings in accordance with Article 8.
3. Any teacher who supervises High School or Middle School or Elementary lunch shall be paid the hourly rate of the BA base salary times .00076. It is further recognized that lunch supervision by teachers is voluntary.
Lunch Supervision. 3.11.1 General campus supervision assigned to unit members (by mutual consent) during their thirty-five (35) minute duty-free lunch shall be compensated at the rate of $25 per lunch period.
Lunch Supervision. The Board of Education may seek volunteers to supervise student lunch periods. When said lunch supervision occurs during the thirty (30) minute duty-free certified staff lunch period, volunteers will be reimbursed in an amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Curriculum Development rate for the applicable school year as stated in Section D above.
Lunch Supervision. Lunch supervision will be handled by the administration. Each middle school will have a minimum of two (2) supervisors per lunch period and ▇▇▇▇▇▇ High School will have a minimum of three (3) supervisors per lunch period. If additional supervision is required, a teacher(s) will supervise and be provided a school lunch at no charge. Teachers will sign-up and the building administrators will strive to distribute supervisory duties equally amongst the volunteers.
Lunch Supervision. 1. The Board of Education will utilize lunchroom supervisors for each building from outside the bargaining unit.
a. Supervisors will be assigned to the lunchroom and the playground. On inclement weather days, students will be assigned among the supervisors to pre-assigned stations.
2. In the event that a Board of Education lunch supervisor is absent and the Board is unable to provide a substitute lunch supervisor, such supervision will be provided by certificated staff in the following manner:
a. The Board will solicit volunteers from the certificated staff and develop a roster of individuals who will serve as substitute lunch supervisors. A roster listing the volunteers shall be maintained by the Board, shall be posted, and updated as need be. Those individuals listed on the aforementioned roster shall be assigned substitute lunch supervision duties on a rotating basis.
b. In the event an insufficient number of substitute lunch supervisors is available, the Board shall fill the substitute lunch supervisor position through a building reverse seniority list on a rotating basis. A seniority list shall be maintained by the Board, shall be posted next to the volunteer roster, and updated as need be. First (1st) year teachers shall be exempt from the substitute lunch supervisor roster.
c. Certificate staff shall be paid at the rate of $27.50 per period for substitute lunch supervision.
Lunch Supervision. Teachers shall not be required to supervise lunch.Teachers who are selected to supervise the lunchroom during their preparation time will be paid twenty-three dollars ($23) per hour.
Lunch Supervision. Except in emergencies, paraprofessional’s participation in lunch supervision shall be determined by the building administrator and compensation of the extra duty will be paid for the time spent in the lunchroom by their hourly rate.
Lunch Supervision. Noon supervision shall be guaranteed by the Souris Moose Mountain Teachers’ Association under the supervision of the principal for each day students are in the school for regular classes. Teachers performing lunch supervision shall be entitled to one (1) day personal leave for each twelve (12) hours of lunch supervision A maximum of two and one half (2.5) days personal leave may by earned in one (1) school year with thirty (30) hours of lunch supervision. Teachers performing in excess of thirty (30) hours of lunch supervision shall be paid at the rate of Seventeen Dollars for each hour of lunch supervision above the thirty (30) hours. Teachers shall be allowed to carry forward two and one half (2.5) days per year to a maximum of five (5) days. Teachers not using personal leaves, and not carrying the leave over to the next year, shall be paid at the rate of Seventeen Dollars ($17.00) per hour of lunch supervision. Each school shall continue its existing practices in regards to time and supervising personnel patterns. Supervising personnel are defined as teachers or other Souris Moose Mountain School Division employees. Payment to each teacher performing lunch supervision shall be made in June of each year. The principal shall forward the required forms to the Division in June of each year, as requested, indicating whether the teacher wishes to be paid or wishes to bank personal leave days in lieu of payment. Leave may be taken at any time during the school year in blocks of no less than one-half (0.5) days at a time. Reconciliationshall occur at the end of the teaching year or at any time prior should a teacher leave the employ of the Board. Any teacher responsible for supervision of students before AM and after school closing due to busing schedules will be paid at the rate of Seventeen Dollars ($17.00) for each hour of supervision provided. Supervision time shall be recorded in units rounded down to the nearest fifteen (15) minutes. The principal’s approval is necessary for the teacher to take personal days.
Lunch Supervision. Appropriate supervision during the lunch period is a priority to ensure the safety and security of our students. The lunch period is considered to be the time during which students are at lunch and recess. The District shall take action to secure staff through advertising and seeking out lunch supervisors from the community when there is a need. When/if the District is unsuccessful in securing a sufficient number of lunch supervisors, principals and lunch directors will work collaboratively with staff in their buildings to develop a list of volunteers in order to ensure that the appropriate number of staff is available during the lunch period. If, after these efforts there continues to be a shortage of lunch supervisors, Team Leaders will work with the lunch directors to identify a strategy for ensuring adequate lunch supervision. In the event these identified strategies fail to provide adequate supervision, a rotating schedule will be developed by the lunch director, in collaboration with the teachers and staff in the building, to ensure that appropriate staffing is available during the lunch period. The table below outlines the stipend for supervisors based on the number of days per week they work. Teachers are expected to find coverage for any absence. Teachers who are unable to supervise lunch on their scheduled day(s) shall be required to switch with another teacher or provide coverage on a day when additional lunch supervisors are needed. Failure to do so will result in a reduction in the stipend amount for each absence. The lunch director shall be notified of any changes in schedule. Lunch directors will be responsible for ensuring adequate coverage and monitoring absences.
