Maximum Accumulation of Sick Leave Clause Samples

The Maximum Accumulation of Sick Leave clause sets a limit on the total amount of unused sick leave an employee can accrue over time. Typically, this means that once an employee reaches the specified cap, they will stop earning additional sick leave until they use some of their existing balance. For example, if the cap is 60 days, any further accrual is paused until the balance drops below that threshold. This clause helps employers manage their financial liability for unused sick leave and encourages employees to use their leave as needed rather than indefinitely accumulating it.
