Minimum Call-In Time Clause Samples
The Minimum Call-In Time clause establishes the least amount of time an employee must be compensated for when they are called in to work, regardless of the actual hours worked. For example, if an employee is called in for a shift but is sent home after only one hour, this clause may require the employer to pay them for a minimum of two or three hours. This ensures employees are fairly compensated for the inconvenience and potential loss of other work opportunities, addressing the problem of unpredictable or insufficient pay for short-notice work assignments.
