Common use of Minimum Daily Pay Clause in Contracts

Minimum Daily Pay. (a) The Employer shall pay the employee a minimum of two hours’ pay at their regular rate of pay upon reporting to work for a scheduled shift. (b) Where the employee commences work, they shall receive a minimum of four hours' pay at their regular rate of pay. (c) Employees required to attend mandatory staff meetings during off-duty hours shall be paid at straight-time for the duration of the meeting or a minimum of two hours, whichever is greater. If the staff meeting abuts with the employee's shift, then straight-time rates will be paid for the duration of the meeting.
