The Minimum Stay clause establishes the shortest period a tenant or guest is required to occupy a property under a lease or rental agreement. Typically, this clause specifies a set number of days, weeks, or months that must be fulfilled before the occupant can vacate without penalty; for example, a vacation rental may require a minimum stay of three nights. Its core function is to provide property owners with predictable occupancy and income, while preventing short, disruptive stays that may not be economically viable or desirable.
