Mobile Crane Operator. The operator is the link between the operation of the mobile crane and its motive power and controls the apparatus inside the crane’s cabin to regulate its movements i.e. ‘luffing’ (raising or lowering the jib or boom), ‘slewing’ (turning the crane on its axis) or/or ‘hoisting’ (raising or lowering) the hook.
