Modified Work Week Program Sample Clauses

Modified Work Week Program. (a) Participation in the modified Work Week Program shall be by work group subject to the following: (i) Participation in the Modified Work Week Program requires the agreement of the work group manager and all employees in the work group. (ii) Not all employees in a work group are required to participate. (iii) Full time regular and full time recurring regular employees are eligible to participate. A term employee may only participate when replacing a regular or recurring employee who is participating in the Modified Work Week Program or at the discretion of the supervisor when operational requirements permit and no additional cost will be incurred by the College. (iv) Participating employees shall make up the hours of one (1) regular shift over a fourteen (14) day period in minimum blocks of thirty (30) minutes, in order to be eligible to take one (1) regular shift off within a twenty-one (21) day cycle. (v) Work groups wishing to participate in the Modified Work Week Program shall apply annually on the prescribed Labour Management application form no later than November 15th of each year. The forms shall be reviewed by the Labour Management Committee. (vi) The Modified Work Week Program will operate on a calendar year basis. (vii) Participation in the Modified Work Week Program shall not result in any change to an employee’s compensation. (viii) In the event that existing levels of service cannot be maintained the College and the Union will seek to resolve the matter before the Labour Management Co- operation Committee. Where no resolution can be achieved the College may terminate the participation of employees or work groups in the Modified Work Week Program on one (1) month written notice.

Related to Modified Work Week Program

  • Modified Work Week Where Employees in a unit have indicated a desire to work a modified work week, the Employer may authorize experiments with modified work week schedule, providing operational requirements permit and the provision of services are not adversely affected. The averaging period for a modified work week shall not exceed three (3) calendar weeks, and the work day shall not exceed ten (10) hours .

  • Modified Work Program The Employer shall provide modified work for any employee injured on the job as per the requirements of the Workers’ Safety and Insurance Board. The employee must co-operate in developing and participating in, a modified work program suited to his capabilities, and with the approval of his physician and/or the WSIB. Both the Employer and the employee shall work together to return the employee to good health and his regular duties.

  • Modified Work Where the Hospital and the Union agree, the Hospital may implement modified/rehabilitative work programs in order to assist employees returning to work following illness or injury. To facilitate these programs, it is understood and agreed that provisions of the collective agreement may, where agreed, be varied. The specific terms of the program will be signed by the Hospital and the Union.

  • Modified Work/Return to Work Programs The Employer and the Union recognize the purpose of modified work/return to work programs, is to provide fair and consistent practices for accommodating nurses who have been ill, injured or permanently disabled, to enable their safe return to work. The parties undertake to provide safe and meaningful employment for all nurses based on the following objectives and principles:

  • Standard Work Week (a) Except as provided below, the standard work week for Full-time Employees shall normally consist of 35 hours per week, which shall normally consist of 5 equal Shifts of 7 hours. (b) The standard work week for certain Full-time Employees, including but not limited to, technical Employees, shall normally consist of 37.5 hours per week, which shall normally consist of 5 equal Shifts of 7.5 hours.
