NEW WORK SHIFT Clause Samples

The "NEW WORK SHIFT" clause establishes the terms and conditions under which an employer may introduce or modify work shifts for employees. Typically, this clause outlines the process for notifying employees of new shift schedules, the criteria for assigning shifts, and any limitations or requirements regarding shift changes, such as advance notice or employee consent. Its core practical function is to provide a clear framework for managing work schedules, ensuring both operational flexibility for the employer and predictability for employees, thereby reducing disputes related to shift assignments.
NEW WORK SHIFT. Fourteen (14) calendar days before the Employer implements a new work shift for employees, the Employer shall inform affected employees about the new shift. It is understood that this section only applies to the creation of new shifts, and not to employee shift assignment.
