Assignment of Overtime Work (a) Subject to the operational requirements, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort to avoid excessive overtime and to offer overtime work on an equitable basis among readily available qualified employees.
(b) Except in cases of emergency, call-back, or mutual agreement with the employee, the Employer shall, wherever possible, give at least four (4) hours’ notice of any requirement for overtime work.
Authorization of Overtime All overtime work must be authorized by the employee's immediate Manager.
Payment of Overtime For the purposes of calculating overtime payments, each day or shift will stand-alone.
Allocation of Overtime Subject to the operational requirements of the service, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort:
(a) to allocate overtime work on a fair and equitable basis among readily available and qualified employees; and
(b) where overtime is predictable, employees shall be provided with a minimum of four (4) hours notice.
Notice of Overtime The Agency shall give as much notice as possible of overtime to be worked.
