On-Call Time Clause Samples

The On-Call Time clause defines the rules and expectations for periods when an employee must be available to work outside of regular hours, but is not actively working unless called upon. Typically, this clause outlines how on-call hours are scheduled, what compensation or benefits apply, and the employee's obligations during these periods, such as response times or availability requirements. Its core function is to ensure both employer and employee understand their rights and responsibilities regarding availability outside normal working hours, thereby preventing misunderstandings and ensuring fair compensation for time spent on call.
