Common use of Operating Engineers Clause in Contracts

Operating Engineers. The County agrees to contribute one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) for every hour for which compensation was paid (exclusive of the amounts paid while the employee is on workers’ compensation time loss) to Locals 302 and 612 International Union of Operating Engineers – Employers Construction Industry Retirement Plan (“Retirement Plan”) on behalf of employees within the job classifications represented by Operating Engineers, Local 302. The amount to be compensated will be calculated on a bi-weekly basis and will be remitted to the Retirement Plan once per month, but no later than the fifteenth (15th) day of the month for the immediately preceding month. The parties agree and understand that this contribution will not be reported as part of the employee’s wages to the State Department of Retirement Systems or the Internal Revenue Service, nor will this contribution be part of the employee’s wages for computation of overtime, shift differential, or other salary-based premium pay.
